Building number as centrepiece: Lobby design with PERSPEX®
We are celebrating 90 years of PERSPEX®. Each month of the anniversary year, we are presenting an example of an application of this versatile material. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
An oversized LED-lit number '165' illuminates the entrance to this prestigious building on London's Fleet Street. The numbers glow so brightly behind vertical bronze slats that they can be seen from the street. The impressive number was manufactured by Signbox, a UK specialist in architectural signage solutions.
The signmakers chose PERSPEX® Spectrum LED Block as the material because it enables compact single digits with optimised, bright and uniform light transmission and fully exploits the environmental and economic benefits of LED technology.
Inviting atmosphere: illuminated numbers made from PERSPEX® Spectrum LED Block
The reception wall, also designed by Resonate, is backlit in bronze tones and made from textured printed PERSPEX® panels, creating a warm contrast. A winning combination that creates a welcoming atmosphere and makes the lobby instantly recognisable.
