DIBOND® FR, THE ALUMINIUM COMPOSITE PANEL FOR APPLICATIONS WITH STRICTER FIRE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS, ALSO AVAILABLE IN NEW 2050 MM WIDTH

DIBOND® FR is an aluminium composite panel consisting of two aluminium cover sheets and a mineral core. The aluminium cover sheets and core material are key factors in the panel’s B‑s1, d0 fire rating in accordance with the European standard EN 13501. DIBOND® FR achieves this fire rating without the addition of halogenated flame retardants, making it toxicologically safe.

The maximum width available in the DIBOND® FR product portfolio used to be 1500 mm. As of now, the "flame retardant" version can be delivered in widths up to 2050 mm in the familiar DIBOND® standard colours and in matt/matt and matt/high-gloss surface combinations. The wide panel formats are suitable for many different uses and ensure utilization is more efficient in a range of diverse applications. DIBOND® FR is used in particular where stricter fire safety regulations are stipulated: airports, exhibition halls, shopping malls, in public buildings, store fitting, interior cladding and for display and signage applications. DIBOND® FR can be processed in the same way as the standard version of DIBOND®, with the exception of hot-air welding. When bending or employing the folding and routing technique (three-dimensional shaping) the material behaviour is excellent.
