Blue Trefoil: adidas brand logo made from PERSPEX®

We are celebrating 90 years of PERSPEX®. Each month of the anniversary year, we are presenting an example of an application of this versatile material. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Leading UK sign makers, Sign Here who specialise in the production of built up letters and logos, were approached by Mynt (design and branding agency), to help produce an adidas Trefoil logo that was over three metres high. The logo was to feature on the adidas Originals exhibition stand at Bread and Butter, an international fashion tradeshow.
A CNC machine was used to cut into PERSPEX® Opal / White 050 5 mm thick acrylic sheet to create the faces and returns of the logo. Avery blue translucent vinyls matching the exact colour required were applied to the faces and back trays with 160 mounted white LED modules to give full illumination to the faces and returns.
For ease of installation, Sign Here provided a fixing template to enable the on-site fitters to easily line up with pre-drilled fixing bars.

160 LED modules provided uniform lighting for the brand logo | adidas Logo made of PERSPEX®
A successful project that Project Manager Paul Bisikier from Sign Here remembers well: „It was a lovely job to make from beginning to end and PERSPEX® brand acrylic has never let us down. It is a material we always enjoy working with.“
