A photo installation by artist Florian Schwarz – printed on DIBOND®
On the 12th of June 2022, large format portraits were placed at the German-Swiss border crossing between Konstanz and Kreuzlingen. A special exhibition portrays several stateless people and highlights the difficulties which they face in their daily life.
The “Imagine” project is the idea of the photographer Florian Schwarz, who has met and photographed stateless people all over Europe. Many of them were born in the country in which they live, but they don’t hold any identity papers, which causes lots of problems for them.
"The lack of a sense of belonging and the burden of exclusion are painful for stateless people. I want to give them a platform so that there is greater public discourse on this almost unknown topic," - comments the artist Florian Schwarz.
The photos, printed on DIBOND® sheets and installed in the display area by Neumeyer Werbung, demonstrate not only the portraits of people without citizenship, but also tell their unusual stories.
