KAPA®tech, an innovative lightweight sheet featuring a unique composition of a polyurethane foam core and aluminium cover layers, combines lightweight with rigidity. Thanks to the lacquered aluminium cover layers and a temperature and moisture-resistant core, KAPA®tech is the first KAPA® sheet for both indoor and outdoor applications. KAPA®tech is not only suitable for use outdoors, one of the product’s main advantages is its fire classification: it is flame retardant and qualifies as "difficult-to-ignite".
KAPA®tech offers excellent properties and a wide range of applications in furniture and interior design as well as for industrial applications.

KAPA®TECH FIVE-DOT-MISSION
KAPA®tech, the innovative lightweight sheet, has been assessed in line with our MISSION: TOGETHER. RESPONSIBLE. KAPA®tech currently achieves a FIVE-DOT classification with a total of 3 points.
Recycled content
The aluminium used in the aluminium cover sheets in KAPA®tech is in part recycled. Aluminium is one of the materials best suited to recycling because regardless of how often it is recycled, there are no detrimental effects on its material properties. We intend to increase the proportion of recycled aluminium in our cover sheets in the future.
CO2 Footprint
KAPA®tech is lightweight due to the special manufacturing technology featuring an expanded foam core between two outer aluminium cover sheets. The foamed core reduces the use of resources.
Product life cycle
KAPA®tech foamboards have an average life span of up to several years. Their service life can be considerably longer depending on the application and place of installation, e.g. as a base panel in furniture construction, for ceiling cladding and air conditioning ducts in buildings or in public transport vehicles.
